Metaprompts for getting better at prompting
Use these metaprompts to help you get better at prompting and formulate more effective prompts:
'Suggest 3 prompts I could use to write [insert content type and topic].'
‘How could this prompt be clearer or more specific?’
'Suggest 3 alternative versions of this prompt that would give me more specific or creative results.'
'What information is missing from this prompt that would help you give a stronger response?'
'Show me a ‘good, better, best’ version of this prompt and explain what makes each one stronger.'
'Suggest a more efficient or shorter version of this prompt that still gets high-quality results.'
Metaprompts for giving feedback on AI output
Use these prompts to give feedback and get clarification on AI output:
'What do you mean by that?'
'Can you expand on the part about [insert specific part of the AI response]?'
'Explain why you gave that answer.'
'Walk me through your reasoning step by step.'
'Argue for your answer in 3 bullets. Now argue against it in 3 bullets. Reconcile the tension and state your final view.'
‘List the weakest links in your reasoning and how to fix them.’
'List the assumptions you made when generating this answer.'
'Identify any potential errors, blind spots or leaps in logic in your response.
